First Time Photos & Saturday at Brookside Gardens
This past I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and purchased a camera for myself. It took a few days of it sitting in the Amazon shopping cart before I actually put my big girl panties on an purchased the darn thing, but I did it. I have no expectations of being a master photographer, I just want to find new hobbies that I enjoy. Something about having a camera makes you want to venture out a little more.
When it comes to venturing, I am all about finding little known local spots. When you live in an area, you tend to take it for granted, so I love finding places in my “backyard,” that I never thought to visit. Saturday, I ventured out to the Brookside Gardens in Montgomery County, MD. Plenty of trails and sights, it was a fantastic first timers location to start with the camera.
Considering we are just at the beginning of spring, much of the plant life is in the beginning stages, so the grounds are a bit bare.
If you are in search of flowers, the indoor garden conservatory has plenty!
There is also an amazing tribute to the survivors of the sniper attack.
Needless to say, I got it plenty of exercise along the trails and plenty of practice with the camera. I’m really looking forward to seeing my progress as I spend more time learning.
